Although customized for each client and event, our process generally adopts the following approach:
Prior to your event:
- Analyze your needs (simultaneous or consecutive interpretation, languages, subject area, type of meeting, etc.) and advise on how to organize sessions to optimize the interpretation services.
- Prepare a detailed quotation.
- Advise on the technical equipment required and refer you to a specialist supplier.
- Recruit a team of interpreters chosen for their expertise in your field, thanks to our extensive experience and in depth knowledge of the North American market. Through our international affiliations, we are also able to organize overseas conferences.
- Make any travel and accommodation arrangements that are required.
- Collect and distribute all relevant documentation to the interpreters for their advanced preparation.
When required, we can also:
- Translate your conference documentation into the other conference languages.
- Provide Sign Language Interpreters.
During your event:
- Ensure smooth communications between the client and the interpreters. An ICI representative will act as team leader, distribute any documentation only available on site and help resolve any issues which might occur.
- At major international events, an ICI principal will act as a coordinator of the interpretation service.
After your event:
- Arrange all invoicing.
- Provide post-meeting debriefing, to enhance your future use of ICI Conference Interpreters.
