Since its inception, ICI’s main purpose has been to specialize in conference interpretation (also known as simultaneous translation). Unlike companies that offer a range of interpretation and translation services, ICI has concentrated on conference interpretation, resulting in clients having access to an unparalleled resource. ICI President, Hazel Cole, is an interpreter herself and thus has the experience and expertise required to offer a high level of service.
Since 1988, ICI has been working with a top-class portfolio of clients who demand nothing less than excellence. We provide a customized strategy for every event rather than the commonly offered generic approach. This is only possible because of our professional specialization.

ICI President: Hazel Cole
Hazel Cole is a highly experienced conference interpreter. She holds diplomas in interpretation and translation from the prestigious Paris interpretation school, the Ecole supérieure d'interprètes et de traducteurs. Before coming to Canada, she worked on the French market interpreting in English, French and German for such clients as the OECD, the EU, the Council of Europe and the European Space Agency.
She is accredited as a conference interpreter by the Federal Government of Canada and is a member of AIIC, ATIO and TAALS. Hazel worked on the Montreal market, often travelling to Ottawa to interpret for the Federal Government, and has been based in Toronto since 1988. She has an impressive knowledge of markets and interpreters across Canada and the USA. Hazel is the Canadian member of Calliope-Interpreters, a global network of consultant interpreters who offer their clients a continuity of quality service wherever they meet throughout the world.
